It is the only comprehensive organization, specially engaged in basic theory and engineering techniques research ?V development in gold industry in China. The working staff within CGRI, relates to Geology, Mining, Dressing, Metallurgy, Environment, Placer Gold Mining, Mineralogical Examination, Assay, Machinery Production, Electronic and Electronic Computer Application etc. 23 technical specialties. CGRI is a multiple research institution with complete and competent specialized personnel, well equipped sophisticated facilities. Under CGRI, there are Geology Institute, Mining Institute, Dressing-Metallurgy Institute, Environmental Protection Institute, Gold Products Application Institute, Assay Inspection Institute, <Gold> Journal Publishing House, Information Center, Computing and Net Engineering Center etc. subordinates. Meanwhile, there are also technique development companies under CGRI, manufacturing new types of equipment for dressing, metallurgy, environmental protection and placer gold mining.
